Hari Niwas to host elite marriages: Mufti | | | Jammu, MAy 3: Chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed in a major announcement has said the Hari Niwas in Kashmir will be used a elite wedding destination to generate financial resources for the State. The CM said it in a function held in the Delhi. The CM completes his tour of interaction with the tour operators. The CM by making this announcement has sent a message that the assets of the state will not only be used for the generating resources but also that probity would be brought in the governance, which was missing in the Jammu and Kashmir. The Hari Niwas was built by the former Maharaja Hari Singh and was then taken over by the State government. It was used for some time by the former chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and Omar Abdullah. Though they didn't stay there, but he used it for his party work. Though, some people still really doubt the party work being done there. The CM had not shifted to the Hari Niwas, though he was entitled to it, and had even sent a message that he was planning to do something different for its usage. The Mufti had not moved in the palace in his last term as well. The PDP-BJP government is trying to bring in probity and accountability in the government. Even after two-months of the government formation, there has not been even whisper about corruption in the functioning, which is a definite shift from the routine. |
