Ghatti Chack Sakta locals protest over shortage of drinking water 5/18/2015 11:30:52 PM Early Times Report Rajbagh, May 18: Irate over shortage of drinking water people of village Ghatti and Chack Sakta today staged a sit in protest and blocked Jammu-Pathankote National Highway at Chack Sakta of district Kathua here today. Led by Prithipal Singh a local activist protestors raising slogans against PHE Department alleged irregular supply of water in villages resulting into acute water scarcity in the area. The irate people including men, women and children staged a sit in protest and blocked the Jammu Pathnkote Highway for half an hour to register their protest. They said the motor and pump set installed at tube well has gone out of order for last twenty two day and the PHE authorities have failed to replace the same with the result the entire area is facing shortage of water.
