For petty personal interests a BJP Minister had questioned feasibility of Artificial Lake project? | Infighting among BJP ministers creating hurdles in accelerating developmental activities in Jammu | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 18: If sources in the corridors of powers are to be believed, one BJP minister is responsible for raking up of controversy over artificial lake. The said minister has some petty personal interests so he had raised question about feasibility of the lake at the present situation and brought this matter to the notice of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. Credible sources said that the BJP minister was very much interested that a fresh survey should be conducted and Centre should release more funds for the Artificial Lake so that he should appease his officers who have been working day and night to make him successful. Credible sources said that some days the Minister had met Chief Minister to discuss some projects in Jammu city and outskirts. During the meeting when Chief Minister inquired about the fate of the Artificial Lake, the BJP Minister questioned his viability and tried to convince the Chief Minister that design of the project was not appropriate, despite that fact that expert committee of the Central Water Commission had approved Detailed Project Report of Artificial Lake. It was all due to the suggestion of BJP Minister that the Chief Minister had raised question about feasibility of the project. Credible sources said that Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is very much interested to initiate some developmental projects in Jammu city and complete some projects which are under construction but it is all due to infighting among BJP Ministers that government is finding it difficult to accelerate developmental activities. "Instead of impressing upon Chief Minister to complete developmental project in time, BJP ministers are more concerned about complaining their colleagues before the Chief Minister to undermine eachothers", credible sources disclosed and said that it was all due to infighting among BJP ministers that developmental activities have come to stand still in Jammu region. |
