Early Times Report

SRINAGAR, May 18: Though BJP officially disbanded PRP an political organisation created by the Party during the Assembly elections and whose candidates also fought elections over a dozen of seats in Kashmir Valley last year, the majority of Partymen defying the decision have decided to keep the Party intact and continue their struggle for a just cause under the banner of the Party.
According to sources the majority of PRP activists and candidates who contested the elections on PRP ticket have decided not to disband the party and work under the leadership of Advocate G M Tramboo who was appointed as its chairman. The Party decided to continue struggle started by it for the just cause of people of the State, strengthen secular values, work for eradication of corruption, dynastic rule and strengthening democratic values in the State.
The PRP however has decided to extend full support to all those decisions of present coalition in the State which will be taken in the larger interests of the people of all three regions of J&K for their equitable development, said newly elected chairman of the Party Advocate G M Tramboo. He said the Party is wedded to the cause of the people of State and it will cooperate fully with the coalition in case it pursues peoples friendly polices and strengthens the unity and integrity of the State.
He said PRP has fought against those forces who were inimical to the interests of the State and its people, who created wedge among different communities who have nurtured the composite culture of the State for centuries together.
The State has the main challenge to rehabilitate the people affected by last year's devastating floods and PRP will take their cause to highest echelons of the Government. In case the Government solves the problems of flood ravaged people in both the regions of the State including the traders, the PRP will fully back it and in case the Government betrays these hapless people like the previous dispensation the PRP will not hesitate in taking the fight on streets. ``We are committed to peoples cause and our struggle is not to support or strengthen any Party from backdoor but to bring out State from present mess'', said Mir Ghulam Rasool spokesperson PRP. He said PRP s not a stooge to any political party not an official wing of BJP. It is the united forum of those politicians and trade unionists who are fora right cause and who want to apprise the people of reality so that they can understand who is their real wisher and who are not. Mir said Kashmir crisis in nothing except a confusion created by politicians to grind their political axe. They don't want the situation should normalise in the State as they will lose the grip and loaf of bread from their hands andPRP will not allow their vicious designs to succeed.
He said PDP will launch a State wide movement for the just cause of the people for restoration of total peace and normalcy to bridge the gulf created between various communities and work for revival of age old traditions of Kashmir. Another senior leader of the Party Hamdard said that PRP will continue its struggle on the secular and social lines to strengthen the bonds of people living in all three regions of the State, take its struggle against corruption, dynastic rule and work for restoration of rule of law in the State.
He said there was no question of merger of PRP with BJP as two parties are poles apart. The PRP has its own agenda that is agenda of peace and porosity for militancy ravaged people of J&K.
