Rajouri, May 18: In its mission to serve the humanity, Rajouri Branch of Nirankari Mission headed by Anil Kapoor and under the supervision of VP Singh, in-charge Zone 1-A, organized 6th blood donation camp at Rajouri on Sunday.
The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Ch Qamar Hussain, MLA, Rajouri in the presence of Vibodh Gupta, MLC and Deepati Uppal, DDC Rajouri besides many prominent citizens of Rajouri city and Nirankari Mission office holders.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA, Qamar Chowdhry appreciated the efforts of the Nirankari Mission in their selfless mission to serve the Humanity and also appealed to the people to donate blood voluntarily so that the precious lives during medical emergencies can be saved.
MLC Vibodh Gupta also appreciated the Nirankari Mission Rajouri for extending helping hands to people of the district whenever they were in need.
Speaking on the occasion VP Singh highlighted the aims and objectives of mission and said that revered Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj started the program in 1986 after Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji's martyrdom as a tribute to him to uphold ideals of truth, peace, tolerance, and non-violence.
According to spokesperson, volunteers from various parts of the district donated 100 units of blood which later were handed over to the administration of district hospital which has been running short of Blood for the last many months. |
