JKGBDYB criticizes JDA, Forest Deptt for damaging Gujjars houses 5/18/2015 11:44:05 PM Early Times Report Jammu, May 18: Jammu and Kashmir Gujjar Bakkerwal Desh Youth Body along with huge masses held a road show / rally from Sidhra Police Post to Khanpora Byepass to show their anger against Forest Department and JDA for their huge demolition of houses and land grabbing of innocent Gujjars. Talking to media persons at Jammu here, President JKGBY, Ch. Nazakat Khatana said that the Gujjar communities are always discriminated and avoided in cities like untouchables and now the Govt is also making fun of them by demolition of their houses and throwing them away from hills. I question where these Gujjars will go now. Are they not the residents of this region. The most patriots are Gujjars who protect forests from Forest Guards who sell the forests at gratis. This is a serious matter indicating the discrimination and poor service by State Govt. While stepping up the protests to stop this demolition, he further said that the demolition of thousand Kanals of land will make the Govt anxious and prey in future. "We have to show the unity by making this rally a resounding success for our ownership. If still our demand to stop demolition is not done, we will go to hunger strike and Road blockage.
