Help-Age India extends hand to abandon patient at GMC hospital | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 18: A social organization Help-Age India has come forward to help an abandon patient, who has been lying untreated in Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for the last five days. Penitently, on last Saturday two ward boys dumped the unconscious man in the outside the emergency block again, later they also reached Police Chowki with false reports of LAMA. While, the police refused to take LAMA reports as police officials believed that he had not ran away. After read the news of abandon patient in GMC hospital published by Early Times two days back, the NGO namely Help-Age India Jammu head by Sunita Santoshi visited hospital and rejected the doctors claimed about the patient's condition or he was able to run from the ward bed. "I have visited hospital along with team and studied condition of the patient and it has found that the patient is too weakness and he has not able to run, "She claimed. She further said that she asked to the concerned doctors and nurses to provide required treatment to the patient. She also said the patient told his address Jain bazzar near Chowk Chabutra but when our team failed to trace the location. "We will continually to extend support to the patient and help him to find out his residence, "she added. She said, later she also visited Police Chowki in GMC hospital, where she come to know how the hospital ward boys dumped abandon patient out the emergency block. |
