Coalition partners lack coordination, speaking in two voices: ANC | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 18: Awami National Conference (ANC) expressed concern over different voices emerged within PDP-BJP alliance yet again as the latter rejected Chief Minister's remark that the creation of an artificial lake in Jammu was not feasible, asserting that it was committed for the project's completion. In a statement issued here, ANC Provincial President, Gian Singh said that this "misinformation campaign" regarding the shelving of the artificial lake project in Jammu, should immediately be addressed as people of Jammu region have been waiting eagerly for the completion of this project. He expressing disappointment over the statements said that the artificial lake was a dream project of the people of Jammu and that the Centre had assured its help in ironing out the technical problems. He further said that earlier also alliance partners PDP-BJP had spoken in different voices on composite townships for settlement of Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley with state Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed saying no separate clusters will be built for the displaced community while Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh made it clear that there was no change in Centre's view on it. Citing another example of lack of coordination between Coalition partners PDP and BJP, Singh said that both parties seemed to be speaking in different voices on the issue of AIIMS project in Jammu, with Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed saying he does not see J&K with different yardsticks while Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh said they were in touch with Centre over the issue. |
