231 students selected, offered Jobs at packages up to Rs 2.50 Lakh per annum in Job Fair 5/18/2015 11:55:16 PM Early Times Report Jammu, May 18: Gulzar Group of Institutions organized one of the biggest Job Fair in the region with calibration of Board of apprenticeship Training, North India & Directorate of Technical Education, Jammu & Kashmir. More than 1500 students from the different colleges of the state participated in it. The students from diverse streams were offered jobs based on written test, Group Discussions and Personal Interview as per the criteria of the companies. More than 25 prominent national and international brands like Videocon Telecom, Yarik International, M.G Industries, Mendley Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Serco Global Services and many more came for selection of the students and offered Jobs at packages of Rs 2.50 lakh per Annum. The event was inaugurated by Khursheed Ahmed Shah, Secretory, Technical education, J&K & Anoop Bansal, Director, Gulzar Group of Institutions. The company's representatives briefed the company profile, which was followed by the GD and written test for students to check the domain knowledge. After the initial screening from the written test and Personal interview 231 Students were selected by them. During interaction with Janab Khursheed Ahmed Shah (IAS) Secretary Technical education/YSS Dept. J&K, he said that we need to provide the students good human values and positive attitude apart from technical skills, so that India can become a prosperous and peaceful nation. If we want to prosper, the only way forward for us is to have positive minded and skillful youth. Anoop Bansal, Director Gulzar Group of Institutions said that this Job Fair was one of its kinds as the ranges of Jobs offered were for students of Diploma Holders. He further added that the Gulzar group shall continue to provide such employment opportunities to the students in the region, so as to make them contribute in the development of the country & promised to organize again such job fest soon.
