DC Kishtwar inaugurate 3-day army's science cum environment week 5/19/2015 12:18:23 AM Early Times Report Kishtwar, May 18: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammad Javed Khan today inaugurated army's three days science Cum Environment week organised under the aegis of troops of Delta Force based at Kishtwar helipad Rashtriya Rifles. In his adress welcomed the students, district administrative officials, various school principals and asked students to contribute by actively participating in making this event grand success. After the inauguration Arvind Bhatt, General manager, NHPC and Javed Ahmed Kichloo, Dy CEO Kishtwar motivated the students for their upcoming future and also appreciated the efforts of Army for the activities conducted by them to kinder the innovative ideas of the students. The event is being organised with the primary aim of engaging youth and students of Kishtwar district and generating understanding on the current environmental issues affecting the wide swathe of Chenab Valley. The event has witnessed active participation of more than twenty schools of Kishtwar dist. The event was attended by the various civil administration officials and students of various Government and private Schools and professionals including teachers and educational staff from schools and Colleges. The event is based on themes like waste management, Soil conservation and Renewable sources of Energy and Pollution. During the science Cum environment week various activities will be conducted related to themes and interactive session and compromising of involving inter school quiz competition, Inter school debate competition, Inter school science exhibition, Interaction with professionals and Plantation drive, an activity corner will be established where in different science related experiments will be performed by the teachers in situ to make this event more informative and interactive.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
