After high command snubs, BJP constitutes grievance cell | ET Impact | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, June 1: A few days after Early Times reported that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has no grievance cell, the BJP on Monday constituted the grievance cell to listen to the woes of people and forwarding the same to the concerned departments and ministers in Kashmir. Pertinently, Early Times last week had carried a detailed news report about BJP having no grievance cell in Kashmir and ministers being inaccessible. Sources said that BJP high command took a serious note of the news report and directed the state BJP leaders to set up the cell forthwith or face action. On Monday, BJP's media incharge for Kashmir Altaf Thakur issues a statement stating : "BJP's grievance cell was constituted by Party's state President and Member Parliament (MP) Jugal Kishore Sharma and State General Secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul." " The Cell would listen to the grievances of people, where from the registered grievances will be forwarded to the ministers- through a proper channel," Thakur said. He said this way the ministers would remain accessible to everyone in Kashmir. Thakur said, the senior party leaders have nominated Dr Rafi Ahamd and Dr Darakhshan Andrabi as the members of the cell. "Even people can send their grievances [email protected] or can contact on 9018065013." |
