Candle light procession; Gherao of MLAs, Ministers planned
AIIMS CC to intensify movement

Jammu, June 1: The AIIMS coordination committee held its meeting today at high Court complex, Jammu in which all the constituents participated decided to intensify the movement beginning with candle light processions to be held shortly and to be followed by Dharnas in front of and Gheravs of MLA's and Ministers. It was also decided that the members of the committee would meet again on Saturday I.e. May 6, 2015 and take decision in its light.
The members thanked the people of Jammu province for their voluntarily participating in the may 27, massive Bandh and at the same time expressed deep anguish over the visible attitude of the ruling coalition in the state and the central government in general and particularly of the elected representatives of Jammu province in ignoring the genuine demands of the people of Jammu province seeking establishment of the promised AIIMS in Jammu and early completion of the ongoing artificial lake project over river Tawi. They in one voice censured the ministers and MLAs saying that the people of Jammu province voted for their party in the large numbers hoping that their participation in the government would end discrimination with them and work for a regime that establishes parity between the Jammu Province and Kashmir region at all levels. They bemoaned that their mandate has gone wasted.
The members of the coordination committee reviewed the whole situation arising out of the indifferent attitude of the elected representatives from Jammu province and resolved to intensify the moment to take it out to its logical conclusion.
The Coordination Committee also decided to constitute committees to be charged with responsibility of visiting district head quarters and Tehsils to mobilize public opinion across the province so that the authority's in the state and center are made to read the writing on the walls.
The overwhelming view of the members was that, it was not just the issues of AIIMS and the lake which the people of Jammu province but, it was the issue of self respect that matters more than anything else.
Meanwhile, concluding the deliberations, Chairman of the coordination committee and the president JKHCBA, Advocate Abhinav Sharma, made a passionate appeal to all the segments of the society in Jammu province to be fully prepared for a long drawn and full scale struggle as their opponents are determined to jeopardize their interest say all levels and in all spheres as the identity of the people from Jammu is under attack.
