Pak resorts to 3 ceasefire violations in 24 hours | BSF Jawan injured in firing | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 1: In a major provocation Pak army and rangers violated ceasefire agreement three times in a row in the last 24 hours across Jammu region. A BSF jawan was also injured in Hiranagar sector while he was standing guard at a forward post along the International border. According to Defence PRO Lt Col Munish Mehta two incidents of ceasefire violations were reported from Mendhar sector of Poonch in the last 24 hours. He said the first incident was reported around12.00 a.m in the forward area while the second violation took place early Mondaymorning in the same sector. Defence PRO said Pak army used automatic weapons and RPG's to target the forward Indian posts in the area. According to him the Indian troops exercised restraint and did n't retaliated. He, however, said the troops have been kept in a state of high alert to prevent fresh infiltration bids. On the other hand a BSF jawan identified as AK Rabha was injured after he received bullet injuries on both his legs at a forward post in Hiranagar sector. He was immediately rushed to the Government Medical college hospital for necessary treatment. It appears the Pak army wants to take advantage of the fair weather conditions in the coming days to push more and more infiltrators inside the Indian territory. According to reports the terror training cmaps have been active across the loc in PoK where around 250-300 trained militants are camping to sneak inside the Indian Territory. |
