Kathua, June 1 : NABARD and KVK, Kathua conducted meet with expert programme of Progressive Farmers Club in Village Jangi Chak with an aim to promote latest technology and new gadgets introduced in the agricultural sector for developed agriculture system. In this programme, Aman Kalsotra, AGM (DDM), NABARD, Kathua, Dr Amrish Vaid, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Kathua, Dr Berjesh Ajrawat, SMS, KVK, Dr Vijay Kumar Sharma, SMS, KVK, Kathua, Manohar Lal, Chief Volunteer and locals from Jangi Chak were present. DDM, NABARD, explained to them how to develop through bank credit and avail KCC for crop loan besides highlighted the importance of bank, bank loan, insurance, saving and credit facilities to farmers. DDM emphasized farmers club to rope in dairy as supplementary activity. He also informed that the scheme for DEDS will continue for FY 2015-16. Dr Amrish Vaid, KVK, Kathua discussed about best agricultural practices adopted by farmers and importance of seed treatment. He also advised them not to use their household seed for more than 3 years, as it gets degrades in quality and reduces productivity. He assured farmers of complete cooperation on behalf of KVK. Dr Berjesh Ajrawat explained how the platform of farmers club can be used for varied developmental informational activities in the village, including exposure visits.
