CCI holds meeting, plans future course of action regarding AIIMS | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 21: Office bearers of Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCI) today held meeting under the chairmanship of Rakesh Gupta, President of CCI and has decided future course of action for AIIMS. According to press release, associations to discuss the future course of action to be adopted after the total failure of Dy. Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh to honour his written commitment to the AIIMS Coordination Committee for getting the sanction of AIIMS for Jammu from an appropriate and authorized authority from Government of India on or before 20th July 2015. It was unanimously decided that the CCI, which is an important constituent of Coordination committee shall not believe or have faith in any further commitment weather oral or written by the Dy. Chief Minister and adopt a course of aggressive agitation for the rights of people of Jammu province. President Rakesh Gupta decided that if the sanction for AIIMS at Jammu from the appropriate authority of Government of India is not received on or before July 30th 2015 then we shall be left with no option but to call for an indefinite Jammu Bandh. The Chamber of Commerce & Industry also strongly protest the attitude of the Finance Minister Haseeb A Drabu regarding non redressal of genuine demands of Chamber of Commerce & Industry regarding uniform VAT and amnesty on GST etc. |
