| BJP leaders hoodwink people of Jammu on AIIMS issue: Congress leader | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 21: Senior Congress leader and member of JKPCC Executive Committee Mohinder Bhardwaj has said that BJP's true face has once again been exposed through series of lies the party leaders, both at the Centre and J&K, had spoken with the people of Jammu in raising their fond hope for getting an AIIMS institute for Jammu.
Addressing a meeting of Congress leaders and workers at Bishnah, Bhardwaj criticized Dr. Nirmal Singh for failing to fulfill commitment of announcing AIIMS project for Jammu on or before July 20, he said that the Deputy Chief Minister has the temerity to seek more time from the Committee and people of Jammu to fulfill his promise. Dr Singh is not only playing with the sentiments of the people but through his failure to meet the July 20 deadline he has insulted the people.
He expressed shock that most the senior BJP leaders have been telling lies in the name of making the Union Government agree for an AIIMS like project for Jammu. The statement of a BJP minister, two days before July 20 deadline, that Union Health Minister JP Nadda and Dr Jitendra Singh will travel to Jammu to announce the project on the said day turned out to be a blatant lie and the two ministers did not turn up at Jammu to make any announcement.
"The commitment of the BJP leaders should be to Jammu first which gave them 25 MLAs after people were misled through emotive issues to vote for the party. Instead, Dr Singh and his partymen have left people of Jammu to fend for themselves," he
