Narco-peddler, bootlegger held in Jammu 7/22/2015 12:02:44 AM Early Times Report JAMMU, July 21: Police today claimed to have arrested a narcotics peddler alongwith 25 kgs of Bhukki during a naka checking in R S Pura while a bootlegger was apprehended from Bhour Camp Satwari Jammu alongwith 60 pouches of liquor. Police said that the accused narco- peddler has been identified namely as Raj Kumar of Kotli Shah Doula while the identity of bootlegger has been ascertained as Shashi Paul of Bhour Camp, Jammu. "On specific information, the police party of P/S R S Pura laid a surprised naka at Kotli Shah Doula, police said and added that police team intercepted a Scorpio bearing registration No DL3CAJ-4056 on suspicion and put the vehicle on thorough search.' "During the search of vehicle the police team recovered 25 Kgs poppy straw (Bukki) and arrested the accused on the spot along with Poppy straw. A case in this regard under FIR No 108/15 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station R S Pura and further investigation is on. Meanwhile, Police Party of Satwari raised a surprised Naka at Rani Bagh Pulli, intercepted one pedestrian namely Shashi Paul of Bhour Camp, Jammu. Police recovered 60 pouches of Excise liquor from his possesion which he was carrying illegally.
