AMS organizes awareness programme on Animal Rights | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 27 : Alexander Memorial School, Jammu, today organized an awareness program on Animal Rights presented by REHAI-freedom for animals. The resource person on the event was Malvika Kalra who gave a power point presentation explaining how animals are like us in their ability to feel physical and emotional pain that humans use to give them without any consideration. According to Malvika Kalra, standing up for animal rights has now become a strong worldwide movement and grass root animal activists in India, like herself, have greatly benefitted from their association with Federation of India Animals Protection Organization (FIAPO). Not only they are connected with each other through the organization, but are provided with all the resource material and outreach skill development tips. The presentation was followed by an interactive session with the teachers. A number of myths and facts were clarified. Leaflets pertaining to the issue were distributed at the event. |
