Early Times Report Jammu, July 27: INTACH today organized Agri-Heritage workshop at Conference Hall of Command Area Development, Jammu. Director, Command Area Development, Jammu Hemant Kumar Sharma was the chief guest and Sahni convener INTACH presided over the workshop held with an objective to list all the indigenous varieties of Agro products which are prevalent in the Jammu area for more than one hundred years and also documents the practices associated with them. Among other prominent members of INTACH who spoke on the occasion included Dr C M Seth, IFS (Retd) Vinod Malhotra former Chief Town Planner, Rashm Kashyap, KAS (Retd), Chandra Gupta, KAS (Retd). More than fifty officers from SKUAST (J) Agriculture Department, Horticulture Department, Floriculture. Department and KVK attended the workshop in which experts identified more than one hundred species for Agri-Heritage. During the workshop different groups were constituted to further work on different Agri-Heritage products of Jammu. |
