Submit comprehensive report over 'Noise Pollution': DB | | | Early Times Report
jAMMU, July 27:In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) regarding violation of noise pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, the Division Bench (DB) of State High Court comprising Justice Dihraj Singh Thakur and Justice Janak Raj Kotwal granted six weeks time to Divisional Commissioner Jammu and Divisional Commissioner Kashmir to submit a comprehensive report indicating the steps taken towards implementation of statutory provisions to control noise pollution in the State as the guidelines issued by Apex Court of India. The petitioner Vasu Dubey through his Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has sought direction from court to implement guidelines issued by the Supreme Court in the case of Forum, Prevention of Environmental & Sound Pollution v/s Union of India.
