Youth Cong resolves to work for down trodden, flood victims | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, Aug 23: Activists of Youth Congress of district Rajouri have resolved to work for the welfare of the poor people and members of down trodden sections of the society especially the actual flood victims who are still waiting for flood relief despite the fact that their names don't exist in the list prepared by the revenue official. In this connection a meeting of the Youth Congress activists held at Ward No 8 here today and was chaired by Youth Congress leader Imran Dar. Taking a dig over the hollow slogans of the present state government to address the aspirations of flood victims and border residents who are facing hardships due to recent cross border shelling in Manjakote and Balakote sectors, Dar said that Congress is the only party which can fulfill the aspiration of the Poor public. "Mufti Mohd Sayeed led coalition government has handed over the reign of Rajouri-Poonch districts to those politicians having vested interests and hunger for power," said Dar. He said former Minister Shabir Ahmed Khan's six year tenure was the golden period in the history of Rajouri district as for as development and progress was concerned. Youth Congress activists urged the district administration to complete the ongoing projects like Abdullah Bridge-2 along with the approach road, Community Hall and repairing of internal roads at earliest as these roads are in dilapidated condition. |
