Pak likely to fire heavily along borders | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 23: The military and intelligence agencies have warned of major firing along the LoC and international border after the Pakistan called off the National Security Advisor level talks with the India by its insistence on holding talks with the Hurriyat leaders, which was pointedly refused by the India. According to the sources, the Pakistan army as part of its game plan, will try to shell heavily along the border and is also reportedly moving troops near the border. "The Pakistan army gets its relevance in the country only by romping up fear about India and on assumed disputed Jammu and Kashmir. It was part of the plan to shell heavily before the NSA talks and much more is likely to happen along the border after the talks had been called off as per the plan of the Pakistan army," said a senior intelligence official. According to the sources, the army has also been told about the concentration of the troops by Pakistan along the LoC and the international border. They said it is mobilizing troops on two accounts, first to fire heavily and then to allow infiltration. Pakistan sources said will try to inflict causalities in the Indian side as it want to show to the world the Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed territory and it for this reason it wanted to hold talks with the Hurriyat leader. Source said the intelligence agencies have also received reports that more terrorists will be pushed to strike in India especially in Jammu division and it has re-activated the over-ground-workers. "The state police has also received inputs about the heightened activity of the OGW which clearly reflect that terrorists are planning some major strike. The police is keep tab on the situation as nothing can be taken lightly especially after the Udhampur attack,' said a senior police official |
