Another school depicts same old story of inadequate infrastructure | | | Ashwani Sharma Early Times Report Udhampur Aug 28: The tall claims of state government for better education in government schools seems to have fallen flat as in a living example the Govt Middle School Sajalta W-3 Udhampur with less facilities again is mocking the authorities at the helms of affairs. According to locals the school has higher ratio of children against low number of teachers and small classrooms force students to sit in open. "The small rooms also sans the power supply and when sky is overcast it often is a free time for students," some added. Apart from the school also lacks the sanitary conditions as the conditions of the toilets are so shabby that children fear to go there. Locals also added that there is no safe drinking water arrangement within school and alleged that the children have not been served the mid-day meal from last six months. This not only raises finger of suspicion towards concerned teachers at school but also towards the higher up in the education department. What surprises all sane persons is that the school has been housed in a new building but it yet has not been shifted school. Locals are also concerned over the health of their wards as the narrow lane which connects to the entrance of the school has been reduced to a dumping site courtesy the people living nearby locality. |
