Kathua hospital craves for basic amenities 8/30/2015 11:48:30 PM Early Times Report kATHUA, Aug 30 :The funds sanctioned by the Union Government for upgradation of hospitals notwithstanding, hospitals in entire J&K state including for District Hospital Kathua crave for basic amenities. The Health Minister, Ch. Lal Singh lives a few miles away from hospital where CT scan machine is not working, X-ray/ Dental X-ray machines have technical problems for few months, medicines are not available in the store, lift could not be made functional since inauguration of the hospital but nothing seems moving. A patient who had inhaled something is facing suffocation in the new hospital buiding as it lacs proper ventilation. Another patient has accused the doctors of prescribing sub-standad medicines. Unable to huge expenses for tests like LFT in private clinics, he sought the facility in the hospital. Santosh Kumari, an attendant said, patients move towards private laboratories and hospital due lack of proper facilities in the hospital. She said Health Minister should review the status and working style of his officers. The lady wished to have good diagnostic facility besides repair of machines.
