Mankotia visits border hamlets in RS Pura, Suchetgarh | | | Early Times Report RS PURA, Aug 30: Expressing immense shock over the loss of property and life caused by the heavy mortar shelling by Pakistan on the forward villages of IB , State President JKNPP Balwant Singh Mankotia visited village Sai- Khurd in R.S Pura and village Abdullian in Suchetgarh and expressed his condolences to the families who killed during shelling from across the border. Locals while interacting with Mankotia apprised the latter that the entire border belt has been deprived of primary health care facilities and the one of the two slain women succumbed due to heavy blood loss because no timely medical aid was provided to her whose both legs were hit and blown by the mortar shell. They further pointed out that only Indian Army came to their rescue which provided the first aid treatment to the wounded and evacuated several critically injured to the Govt. Hospital at Jammu. Mankotia exhorted the State Government to provide monetary relief of Rs. 5 lacs for each death victim and a regular govt. job to the next to the kin of the deceased under SRO 43 as promised in the "Agenda of Alliance". He also demanded ex-gratia compensation of Rs. 20 lacs for the families of the people killed in the shelling. Lambasting the State administration for its callous and lackadaisical attitude towards the border residents Mankotia also demanded 5 marlas of residential land for each family at safer zones. He also lambasted Pakistan for raising its draconian head time and again and urged the GoI to take a stringent and deterrent action against the enemy. He vowed that Panthers party shall stand with the border residents in all odds and circumstances and assured the people that it shall not relent unless all the demands of the people and the affected families are addressed by the government. |
