MGNREGA Association holds protest 8/31/2015 12:00:56 AM Early Times Report Udhampur, Aug 30: All J&K MGNREGA Association held a protest demonstration in support of their demands at District Head Quarter Udhampur . The protest March started from Adarsh Colony Udhampur passing through different bazaar finally reached near DC Office Udhampur. While speaking on the occasion Karpal Singh District President of the Association said that around 200 employee are working in Udhampur district in different category including GRS, Tech. Assistant, Computer Operator, Programme Officer, Accountant, Social coordinator on contractual bases from 2008 onwards. He further said that in previous Govt. their association met with concerned Minister several times for their regularization, release of salary on every month ,enhancement of salary and implementation SRO -255 Dt. 5.8.2003 vide Govt. order no131- Rd& PR of 2014 Dt. 26-03-2014. in Toto but all in vain. He demanded that they should be regularized on ReT, pattern after completion of their five year service, he said that 70% of M-G NREGA employee who have completed five year service they should be regularized at the earliest, their salary be released regularly and salary should hike equally at par with their counterpart working in different department.
