JAMMU, Aug 30 : Without a coach for quite some after the only qualified person, Satish Gupta elevated to the next rank of manager, the State Sports Council finally got the Table Tennis coach for its Regional Coaching Centre (RCC), M A Stadium, here. The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has deputed Narinder Kour to Jammu and Kashmir to train the youngsters. Narinder has been transferred from Jallandhar in Punjab and her services have been kept at the disposal of Sports Training Centre (STC), Jammu. However, soon after her joining at Jammu on August 28, it has been reliably learnt that the new coach has proceeded on leave and is expected to be back soon.
Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Table Tennis Association has welcomed the appointment of the new coach in Jammu. The Association has expressed thanks to SAI for sparing the services of a lady coach. |
