Awareness program "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" held at Dharamkund 10/9/2015 12:17:10 AM Ramban, Oct 8: Education Department Ramban today held a awareness programme on "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" at Government Middle School Dharamkund here today. According to press release, a team of Zonal Resource Persons comprising Firdous Ahmed, Pawan Kumar, Romesh Kumar headed the function while Sarpanch Mukhtyar Ali was guest of honour and Headmaster of the host school Muzamil Hussain presided over the function. Earlier an awareness rally was taken out from school and passed through market then culminated at place of originate. Various events were organised like debate; skits besides culture programme was also presented by the students drawn from different schools of the area. Speaking on the topic "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao", ZRP said that it has become necessary to sensitise the society about the female foeticide, as it was resulting in decreasing of girl population.
