Vacation judge restrains state from acting on ReT screening test | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 29 : High court vacation judge B S Walia today ordered that operation of December 29, 2015 government order No 631-Edu about the screening test of ReT teachers would not be acted upon in respect of the petitioners. The court directive came in a petition filed by 388 ReT teachers whose counsel said the screening test ordered for ReTs working in the school education department was not applicable in their case on account of the fact that it had been ordered only in respect of those candidates who had obtained their basic qualification for appointment to the aforementioned posts from 'unauthorized' and 'un-recognized' study centres. He submitted that since the petitioners had obtained basic eligibility qualification from UGC recognized institutes, they were not required to participate in the screening test. (JNF) |
