Ration dealer fleecing consumers at Kathua, CAPD deptt unmoved 3/25/2016 11:03:20 PM Early Times Report Kathua, Mar 25: Notwithstanding several complaints lodged against a ration dealer for charging extra on ration at Kathua, Consumer and Public Distribution Department has not taken action against the culprit. People of ward no. 15 continually protested against Krishan Chand CAPD ration supplier deployed in ration depot of ward no. 15 who charged 60% extra on 10kg bag of flour. Dr Vishal Malagar, a social activist, informed about the menace and said flour bags of worth Rs 80/- is being sold at Rs 130 rupees by one Krishan Chand supplier of CAPD. He said people approached him and requested to raise issue before concerned authority as nobody was ready to hear their genuine complaint. Dr Malagar said that when he tried to verify the compliant by sending other customer to depot for purchasing of Flour bags and came to know about the menace that is happening under the nose of CAPD Kathua. He informed that few CAPD depot are indulged in same heinous act and charged extra amount which is unfair and condemnable.
