Many areas of Mendhar reel under darkness 3/25/2016 11:47:21 PM Early Times Report Mendhar, Mar 25: Accusing Power Development Department (PDD) for ignoring their plights, the residents of several areas of Mendhar Tehsil here have demanded restoration of power supply in various localities as due to frequent power curtailments the Mendher is reeling under darkness. A delegation people comprising of local residents of Balakote, Dharati, Chak Bonala and Chhatral told 'Early times' that their localities are reeling under darkness from last three days due to the non-availability of electricity in their areas. "We are facing immense hardships since last three days as the department has failed to provide electricity in their areas, they said and added, "we even have approached to the concerned the PDD officials to take necessary steps in this regard but unfortunately the department has failed to do so thereby leaving people to suffer. They said that it is not the first time when they are reeling under darkness but whenever it rains, the PDD officials cut the power in their areas. "We have been continuously taken up the matter before PDD officials but nothing has been done in this regard," they said.
