Renowned columnist, scientist Dr Manzoor Yetoo passes away | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Apr 17: Renowned scientist and an environment expert from South Kashmir Dr. Manzoor Yetoo passed away at New Delhi at the age of 45 years on Friday evening after battling for multiple organ failure. As per the details available with "Early Times" Dr. Manzoor Yetoo was admitted in a Delhi Hospital last week after he suffered multiple organ disorder and finally breathed his last on Friday evening.Dr. Manzoor Yetoo was highly qualified environmentalist in state of Jammu and Kashmir and wrote several articles and publications highlighting the menace of growing environmental hazards in the state of Jammu and Kashmir and also suggested solutions to various environmental hazards spreading thick and fast in state since last two decades. The deceased also contributed several articles highlighting public concern issues for "Early Times" since last nearly three years and his articles were highly appreciated by the readers. He started his carrier as an Engineer, then completed MBA (Project Management) and then PhD in Environment Management from California US. He had served in Jammu and Kashmir in various capacities including Project Manager in JK Cements Ltd, State Pollution Control Board, besides was a technical advisor, expert for Indo European chambers of commerce and Industries. He had also served in the personal section of the former Minister of state for Education, CAPD, Forest, Social welfare, Tourism and Minister for R&B, G M Saroori from 2008 to 2010. A people friendly officer, he had to his credit of developing JK cements one of the successful corporation in Jammu and Kashmir. The deceased body was shifted to Kashmir by his family members where his burial had taken place. He was survived by his wife and minor son. |
