LC Dy Chairman pays tribute to Dr BR Ambedkar 4/17/2016 11:10:10 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 17 : Deputy Chairman Legislative Council Jahangir Hussain Mir today paid rich tributes to the Bharat Ratna Dr. BR Ambedkar, while addressing a huge gathering of intellectuals and general public at Rajiv Nagar Jammu. He said that the compiler of Indian constitution Baba sahib was a man of high repute and character who stood against casteism and devoted his whole life for the welfare, justice and equality of every downtrodden sections of the society. He further said that after the independence when the biggest ever democracy was in need of a strong and firm constitution, it was he, who was entrusted with this responsibility. He has played the key role in compiling the constitution keeping the interests, beliefs and culture of every community in view for which every Indian citizen is proud of. He said that such like persons do not belong to a single community, but they are the asset of whole mankind and is considered as a torch bearer for humanity.
