Bootlegger held with 56 liquor pouches | | | Early Times Report Ramban, Apr 26: Police today claimed to have arrested a bootlegger alongwith 56 pouches liquor of JK Excise which were recovered from his possession here today during a naka in Ramban. "The accused has been identified as Kartar Nath s/o Parmanand of Khanni Peerah," police sources said. Police sources said, "During naka checking by a police party of Police Station Chanderkote at Dhalwas Morh, police team intercepted one person carrying a (carton) box, who de-boarded the mini bus and was moving towards Peerah at a distance from police naka." "During the checking of the carton 56 pouches liquor of JK Excise were recovered which he was going to sell in Peerah at his hotel in Peerah," police sources said. The accused was arrested on the spot and a case under FIR no 21 u/s 48 (a) Excise Act stands registered at concerned Police Station and further investigation has been entrusted to PSI Vishal Kumar. The catch was made by a police team was headed by Station House Officer Chanderkote Daljeet Singh under the direct supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ramban Mushtaq Choudhary and overall supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramban Randeep Kumar. |
