Government, separatists destroying Kashmiri Hindus: PK | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 27: Panun Kashmir lambasted the Government of India with pursuing a policy for return and rehabilitation of Hindus of Kashmir which is as destructive to the survival of Hindus as the exclusivist mindset of the Kashmiri Muslim leadership. Addressing press conference here today leaders said, "It seems that both the separatist establishment and the governments in the Centre and the state are working almost in tandem to destroy Hindus of Kashmir." As the entire Kashmiri Muslim leadership is brazenly rejecting the return of Kashmiri Hindus to Kashmir in any form, time and again, the governments in the state and the Centre have evolved a policy structure which seeks return of Kashmiri Hindus at the mercy of the same leadership. It is evident that return policy envisaged by the governments in the state and the Centre is aimed less at a sustainable and permanent return and more for providing a secular cover to the extremely regressive political order prevalent in Kashmir. Panun Kashmir has now serious doubts that the political class in New Delhi has been willfully working in the direction that converts Jammu and Kashmir into a religious state. While the rejection of the return of Kashmiri Hindus by the Kashmiri Muslim political class is the continuation of the genocidal war against them, the return policy of Government of India is a blatant denial of the genocide of Kashmiri Hindus. Hindus of Kashmir are actually face to face with a two pronged campaign aimed at their total destruction. Panun Kashmir condemns the campaign of systematic harassment of Kashmiri Hindus living in camps in Jammu. The stoppage of their relief and ration for months, deliberate stoppage of water and electricity to the camp residents have been amongst the most serious Human Rights violations against Hindus of Kashmir in recent times. |
