Jammu, Aug 26: To infuse the spirit of self defense through martial art among girls, the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the directions of Joint Director YS&S Madan Lal, organized its Inter District Division Level Judo Tournament for all age groups boys and girls at Sports Stadium Kathua. A total of 60 students of three Districts viz Jammu, Kathua and Reasi participated in the tournament. In under 14 years Girls Category, Kritika Sharma of Kathua defeated Hansvi Bhan of Jammu in below 23 kg whereas, in below 27 kg Riya sharma of Kathua thrashed Sabia Akhtar of Reasi, in below 32 kg Payal of Jammu trounced Rita of Kathua, in below 36 kg Akriti of Jammu defeated Priya Devi of Reasi, in below 40kg Khushi Thakur of Jammu beaten Preeti Devi of Kathua, in below 44 kg Sehar of Jammu defeated Neha of Kathua and in above 44 kg Ishar Dhar of Jammu trounced Rabiya Bhat of Reasi. In under 17 years girls category, Shriya Kumari of Jammu defeated Arti Devi of Kathua in below 36kg whereas in below 40 kg Bindiya Mahajan of Jammu crushed Monika of Kathua, in below 44 kg Vanshika Manhas of Jammu defeated Sanjana of kathua, in below 48 kg Prachi Bhagat of Jammu defeated Shalu of Kathua, in below 52 kg Amista Roshan of Jammu crushed Asha of Kathua, in below 56 kg Anshika Manhas of Jammu beaten Saloni Salogtra of Kathua. |
