Jammu, Jourian to lock horns for title
Inter Zonal District Level Cricket

Jammu, Aug 26: On the 4th day of ongoing Inter Zonal District Level Cricket Boys U/19 yrs tournaments at G.G.M. Science College Jammu Zone defeated Satwari Zone by 5 wickets in Ist Semi Finals and in 2nd Semi Final Jourian Khour Zone defeated Akhnoor Chowki Choura Zone by 1 wicket.
After winning the toss and deciding to bat first Satwari Zone Scored 89 runs in allotted 15 overs in the 1st Semi Final. Nikhil, Harmohit and Harsh scored 44 , 16, 14 respectively for their team while Deepak, Abhinav and Samad took 2 wickets each for Jammu Zone.
While chasing the target of 90 runs in 15 overs Jammu Zone scored the required runs in 14.2 overs by losing five wickets. Samad, Arab and Raj Partap scored 27, 16 and 11 runs for their team. Sourav, Pavit and Anurag of Satwari Zone took one wicket each for their team, thus winning the first semi final by 5 wickets.
In the second semi final, Jourian Khour Zone defeated Akhnoor Chowki Choura Zone by one wicket in a nail biting finish.
Akhnoor Chowki Choura Zone after winning the toss decided to bat first managed to scored 44 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 11.3 overs. Satyam of Akhnoor Chowki Choura Zone remained the top scorer with 15 runs for his team, while Abhinav, Robin and Abhisheik took 2, 2 and 3 wicket respectively for Jourian Khour Zone.
Chasing the target of 45 runs in 15 overs Jourian Khour Zone required runs in 11.2 overs loosing 9 wickets in the process, thus winning the match by one wicket. Vikas and Abhishek scored 14 and 10 runs for their team while Aman , Sahil and Deepak of Akhnoor Chowki Choura Zone took 3 wickets each for their side.
The final of the tournament between Jammu zone and Jourian Khour zone shall be played tomorrow at the same venue.
The matches were officiated by Saleem-ul-Rehman, Sadhik Hussain, Suresh Singh, Madan Mohan, Farooq Ahmed , Jagtar Singh and Satika Sharma did the scoring.
The competitions are being organized by Deptt of Youth Services and Sports Distt Jammu under the Chairmanship of Madan Lal joint Director Youth Services & Sports Jammu and under the overall supervision of Sukhdev Raj Sharma DYSSO Jammu.
The main objective of the competitions is to select the probables in the discipline of cricket who will later on represent the Jammu district during Inter District Division Level Competitions.
