Sarvodya Public, Spring Dale & Anuradha Hr Sec bag top three ranks respectively | Nami Dogri Sanstha organises 'music programme cum contest' | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 3: To promote local talent and provide platform to budding artists of the region, Nami Dogri Sanstha today organised a musical programme cum competition at Abhinav Theatre, here today. Speaker, J&K Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta was chief guest at the patriotic group song competition. Advocate Sandeep Gupta was guest of honour. In his address the Speaker of State Assembly Kavinder Gupta lauded the efforts of Nami Dogri Sanstha and said the Sanstha is playing commendable role in promoting Dogri language and organising events to promote art, culture and literature in the region. Speaker also said youngsters of the state have rich talent and proper nurturing can go a long way in promoting the budding talent. Amid various cultural events, the special attraction of the event was classical Kathak performances by youngsters of Anant Kala Kendra trained under the able guidance of prominent dance exponents of the state Anuradha and Narinder Bharadwaj and left the audience mesmerized. Earlier the event started with Guru Vandana group performance by small children of age group 5-10 years and the event culminated with scintillating solo performance of Shreya. The first prize of group song competition was won by Sarvodya Public School, Spring Dale School won second prize and Anuradha Higher Secondary School won third prize. Senior Advocate D C Raina, Sohail Kazmi, Brig O P Abrol, Harish Kaila, Yash Pal Yash, Capt Lalit Sharma and Pandit Vidya Rattan Aasi were also also present on the occasion. |
