Jammu, Sept 3: Bringing laurels for Jammu and Kashmir, a sculpture, Chander Prakash of Udhampur, has been selected by International Sculpture Center (ISC) for publication in the next edition of their monthly magazine Sculpture, published from New Jursey Hamilton, United States of America. The information about publication in the next edition of Sculpture was forwarded by the ISC to Chander Prakash of Udhampur, through an email. The sculpture named "Gate of Heaven" was selected for publication in the magazine, which was made by Chander Prakash during an international sculpture festival in Czech Republic and the photographs of same were forwarded to the ISC. The 10 member jury had reportedly selected the sculpture for publication and Chander Prakash will be first artist, whose art work has been selected by magazine for publication. Pertinently, International Sculpture Center is a nonprofit organization founded in 1960 by Elden Tefft at the University of Kansas. The center publishes sculpture, a monthly (except February and August) magazine with offices in Washington, D.C. and presents a Lifetime Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Award. |
