Jammu, Sept 3: The Jammu Chapter of INTACH organized city round of INTACH QUIZ-2016 at Jodhamal Public School, today on 3rd Sept 2016. The quiz series is an initiative by INTACH - Indian national Trust for Art & Culture Heritage, which aims to interact with students and teachers across the country direct awareness building activity.
A total of 126 students from 25 leading schools of Jammu, Udhampur, Akhnoor, Samba, Miran Sahib and Bari Brahmana, sent 63 teams of 2 students each from Class 7th to 10th, who battled it out in a written round consisting of 20 questions, heritage based of National, State and Regional Level. Jodhamal Public School, the pioneer in the extra curriculum activities, believe in upholding the talent and innate potentiality of the children, to inculcate the best qualities for their overall development.
The top three promising teams from written round, progressed to Jammu Final Rounds, which was an oral Quiz and they were APS, Dhar Road, Jodhamal Public School and KC International School, Jammu.
The team from APS Dhar Road won the Jammu Final Round of the Intach Quiz-2016. The winning team will compete in the J&K State Final Round and the best students / winners of the State Round shall be invited to Delhi for Final Round at the National Level.
All the participating students were awarded certificate of participation and best 10 students were awarded the certificates of merit.
Prof. Sudhir Singh& Prof. Kavita Suri, were Quiz Masters of the event, who conducted the various stages of competition in an efficient & professional manners.
Nandan Kuthiala, Trustee Jodhamal Public School was the Chief Guest, SM Sahni, Convenor INTACH Jammu Chapter & Dr. C.M Seth (Environmentalist) were the Guest of Honour, Principal Jodhamal, Mr Trilok Singh Bist, Vice Principal Monika Sethi and the other prominent members of INTACH Jammu Chapter Dr Sonia, Satwant Singh Rissam and Dr Abrol Rajesh were present on the occasion.
