Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 3:Accused of duping three unemployed youth in the name of managing jobs for them in army, a high secondary school lecturer has landed in the net of crime branch (CB) of state police. A communication bearing No SVC/Complt-166/2014 made by the state vigilance commissioner (SVC) registrar on August 16, 2016, along with a copy of July 20, 2016 SVC order in a complaint titled Abdul Rehman v/s Mohammad Rashid, was received the CB headquarters for further action. The CB probe revealed that Abdul Rehman, Abdul Rasheed and Sherbaz, all residents of Thanamandi, Rajouri, had filed separate complaints, alleging therein that Mohammad Rashid, son of Bagha Khan of Azmatabad, Thanamandi, who was working as a lecturer in government higher secondary school, Plangarh, had met them in April 2012 and told them that in case they paid him Rs 2 lakh each, he would get their sons/brothers employed in army. On his assurance, the complainants paid him Rs 1.60 lakh each and assured that balance amount of Rs 40,000 each would be paid after getting the appointment orders. It was alleged that though they waited for a considerable time, no appointment order was provided. The accused was also alleged to have refused to return the money and extended them threats of dire consequences. The CB probe revealed the accused had 'cheated' the complainant and fraudulently taken money from them. He was booked under section 420 of RPC. (JNF) |
