To meet delegations at SKICC
APD arriving today amid tight security

Srinagar, Sep 3: Security was beefed up in the summer capital as 28 members of All Party Delegation (APD), led by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh is arriving here tomorrow.
Official sources informed early TIMES that All Party Delegation will land at Srinagar Airport at 10. Am, amid tight security arrangements and will proceed towards Lalit hotel for the breakfast.
One of the PDP minister said that the all party delegation will first meet the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti. "Soon after the delegation will reach here they will meet the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti. Later from 11 am the delegation will be available at the SKICC for everyone who wish to meet them," the minister informed early Times.
Sources said that the Delegation, will meet about 30 various delegations in Srinagar on September 4 till noon of September 5, before leaving to Jammu. "The all party delegation will meet people at Jammu before departing for the Union capital," sources maintained. Sources said that the delegation will also have meeting with Governor N N Vohra. The visit of the all-party delegation to the valley is aimed at holding meetings with local leaders aiming to stop the unrest that was sparked off in Jammu and Kashmir following the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen militant Burhan Wani on July 8.
Sources said that heavy deployment of troops, comprising CRPF, Police was made in and around the city peripheries and on all routes to the SKICC to avoid any untoward incident. Sources said that no Vehicle will be allowed towards and around the SKICC, as a security measure.
If sources are to be believed then Air Force Chopper will be put on aerial surveillance during the arrival of the All Party Delegation.
Besides Rajnath Singh, the Union ministers in the delegation are Arun Jaitley (Finance), Ram Vilas Paswan (Food and Public Distribution) and Jitendra Singh (Minister of State in the PMO).
The other members include Ghulam Nabi Azad, Mallikarjun Kharge and Ambika Soni (all Congress), Sitaram Yechury (CPI-M), D. Raja (CPI), Asaduddin Owaisi (AIMIM), Sharad Yadav (JD-U), Tariq Anwar (NCP)and and Saugata Roy (Trinamool Congres).
In 2010, a similar delegation had visited Kashmir Valley and had met Hurriyat leaders like Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
