| Young girl jumps from rooftop, dies | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, Sep 3: A 24 year old young girl today committed suicide by jumping from the rooftop from a house at Adarsh Colony in front of JKNPP Office Udhampur W-4. Udhampur police have registered a case.
"the deceased has been identified namely as Makhnu Devi d/o Munshi Ram of village Sayal Salan Udhampur, police sources said.
Sources said, "The girl this afternoon jumped from the roof top of Adarsh Colony and received critical injuries." However passersby and police immediately rushed the critically injured girl to the District Hospital (DH) Udhampur where she was declared as brought dead.
Later the body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary for the post mortem.
Meanwhile Udhampur police have registered a case in this matter and further investigation going on to ascertain the cause why the girl took such an extreme step. |
