Theft case worked out with 8 hours, stolen cash Rs 138500 recovered | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, October 17: Police have claimed to solved a theft mystery within eight hours of the crime with the arrest of accused alongwith stolen cash upto Rs .138500/- and mobiles. Police spokesperson said, "Following complaint lodged with Police Post Chinore by one Gagan Sethi of Pacca Danga stating that his family has gone to attend a family function held at Jagnesh Palace, Keran Bantalab yesterday and today morning they found two mobiles Samsung, Nokia and cash Rs.138500/- been stolen from their belongings." "After receiving the complaint, a case under FIR No 327/2016 under section 457 and 380 of RPC was registered at Domana and Police team of police post Chinore led by in-charge police post Chinore SI Vikram Singh Manhas under the supervision of In-charge SHO Domana Inspector Ravi Kant, SDPO Domana, Surinder Sharma and SP Rural, Arun Gupta rushed to the spot, police spokesperson said. He said during investigations, police team rounded up one suspect namely Ravi Kumar son of Swami Raj of Bantalab originally from Jodhpur Doda and put him on sustained questioning. During questioning, the suspect confessed his crime and later on his disclosure all the stolen items including cash worth Rs138500/- and two mobiles were recovered within 8 hours of theft. |
