| Only 2 teachers handling academics at GMS Medan | | | Sarfraz Chak

Mandi, Oct 17: in a gory picture of the shambled education sector in state, the Govt Middle School Medan of Mandi has only two teachers against 130 students on routine affairs while others enjoy unauthorized holiday by using their turn.
According to spokesperson, Govt Middle School Medan in Sawajian which is just 50 metres away from main road has 130 studnts of different classes. "There are nine teachers posted at this school but lacvk of due monitoring and supervision of concerned authorities the teachers have made a routine arrangement i.e. only two teachers of the nine will come a day while rest will have an unauthorized holiday without any fear either of administration or the education authorities.
However students remained tight lipped why the seven other teachers don't come to school regularly, the parents and locals pin pointed the callous approach of concerned education authorities which utterly have failed to maintain the punctuality among the teaching faculty.
"This school has also been among those schools which have been enlisted for poor results, locals said and alleged, "but the teachers are least bothered as they are getting their salaries on time. Chief Education Officer (CEO) Poonch when contacted briefly assured about due action against absent teachers under norms.\ Meanwhile locals of the area are agitated over the callous approach of administration and education authorities including the elected representative who have neglected his/her constituency. |
