| NSF, NCSU pays tributes to martyrs of 1966 | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 17: National Secular Forum activists and National Conference Student Union today paid rich tributes to the student martyrs at Shaheedi Sthal, GGM Science College and raised slogans in favour of martyr students included 'Amar Rahe- Amar Rahe, Hamare Shaheed Amar Rahe' Bharat Mata ki jai-Vande- Matram.'
They paid floral tributes to the student martyrs, who lost their lives in police firing during an agitation in 1966. They also mourned for a minute in their memory on the occasion. The activist of NSF paid floral tribute to the martyrs' in the presence of Dr. Vikas Sharma State President NSF. Dr. Vikas Sharma State President NSF said that these martyrs will always remain in our hearts as a biggest source of encouragement and these martyrs raising their voice against the discrimination with Jammu region and laid their lives for the sake of Jammu people.
Meanwhile, NCSU Senior Vice President ofJammu province Sahil Singh jamwal highlighted the life history of martyrs and his associates, who fought for the agricultural university and other grievance of the students of Jammu. Their martyrdom , evoked a wave of struggle throughout the Jammu, Sahil said. Vikas Badoria also added" that many youth joined the struggle following SHAHEED Brij Mohan, Subash Chander , Gulshan Honda and Gurcharan Singh. While addressing media persons , Sahil urged the youth to come forward to fight social Evils to fulfill the dreams of martyrs. |
