REASI, Feb 10: Department of Legal Metrology Reasi conducted extensive market checking in Reasi, Katra and Pouni to check unfair trade practices. During inspection 10 traders were booked by the department for violation of various provisions of Jammu and Kashmir weights and Measures (Enforcement) Act and Packaged commodities Rules. Assistant Controller Legal Metrology Reasi Kuldeep Raj imposed a fine of Rupees 53000on nine defaulters.
Further all the traders were instructed by the department to use verified weights and measures for business transaction and also check MRP, Packing date, complete address of the manufacturer or packer, consumer care number of all the commodities to be supplied to the consumers. |
