Channi residents complain supply of contaminated water
2/10/2018 11:04:11 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 10: Residents of channi today expressed resentment against PHE department of supplying 'contaminated' water in the area.
Talking to early times, couple of residents said that since last few days they are getting good supply of water, but it contains smell, as if water is contaminated.
" Since last few days, people in sector 3 of Channi have complained about infection due to contaminated water," said locals adding that they had approached the concerned authorities with their complaint.
The concerned authorities said that there would be damage in the water supply pipe, due to which water is being contaminated by drain water.
"Instead of rectifying and fixing the problem, the concerned officials are seeking 3-4 more days in repairing the pipes," maintained locals, adding that this is shameful that water pipes are damaged and people are forced to consume contaminated water. They questioned the seriousness of concerned officials towards their duties.
