Early Times Report

JAMMU, Feb 13: J&K Police and PDP-BJP government are not on the same page to about the "title" to be given to the Pakistani terrorists who infiltrated from other side of the border to unleash a reign of bloodshed and destruction in different parts of J&K.
Not only PDP-BJP government lacks courage to called terrorists as terrorists, this regime, in which BJP is equal partner, is not ready to call martyr security personnel as 'martyrs'.
PDP-BJP government helplessness to call terrorists as terrorists was exposed during Sunjwan terror attack on Sunday. As session of the Legislative Assembly was going on, opposition asked government to give statement about the attack.
In the absence of Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, who holds Home Department, Abdul Rehman Veeri, Parliamentary Affairs Minister gave a statement in the Legislative Assembly.
Veeri read the report prepared by the police in which word "terrorists" was used and it was also clearly mentioned that two soldiers have attained "martyrdom".
Credible sources said that after Veeri used the word terrorists for those who attacked Sunjwan Army camp, higher-ups in the government immediately removed this term from the report which was handed over the department concerned for issuing official handout.
As per the report prepared by the Police and being circulated in the social media by some people, the word terrorist, written three times, was struck off and replaced with "militants".
The official handout, which was released on that evening, mentioned that the minister informed the House that the whole area had been cordoned off by the Army and the security forces and the operation was underway as "militants" had taken refuge in a JCO quarters in the area.
