| Install new poles in land of petitioners in accordance with Law: HC directs PDD | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 26: A single Bench of Jammu and Kashmir High Court has directed the PDD department to install any new poles on the land of the petitioners, if needed in accordance with law.
In this petition, the petitioners, Joginder Kour and others sought direction restraining the respondents from installing more poles and affixing the transmission lines over the poles in the land of the petitioners and direction to the respondents to remove the poles installed by the respondents in the land of the petitioners and shift the same to some other place.
Counsel for the petitioner submitted that respondents were installing more poles and affixing the transmission lines over the poles in the land of the petitioners at Channi Himamat.
In view of the aforesaid submissions, learned Senior Additional Advocate General submitted that only old poles were to be replaced by installation of new poles on the land of the petitioners.
In view of the submissions made and in the facts of the case, Justice Alok Aradhe disposed of the writ petition with the direction that in case respondents install any new poles on the land of the petitioners, they shall do so in accordance with law. |
